NCSoft의 '숲에서 만난 곤충(Meet the Insects: Forest Edition)' 곤충백과는 태블릿 PC에서 즐길 수 있는 움직이는 이야기와 음악, 게임이 함께하는 생생하고 즐거운 경험을 선사하는 인터랙션 북 애플리케이션으로 2011년 '재미있는 야구백서'에 이어 2012년도에 진행된 두 번째 아이액션북입니다. 플리킹 트리인덱스 UI라는 독특한 구조를 바탕으로 30종이 넘는 곤충들을 목과 종으로 구분하였습니다. 어린아이부터 어른들까지 유용하게 즐길 수 있는 이 인터랙션 북은 현재 유료로 국내와 미국에서 상용화되고 있습니다. 특히 '숲에서 만난 곤충'은 영상부터 퀴즈까지 다양한 콘텐츠와 사실감있는 곤충 모션, 그리고 재미있고 아기자기한 일러스트로 구성되어 한국 앱스토어에서 2012년을 빛낸 우수작으로 선정되기도 하였습니다.

‘Meet the Insects: Forest Edition’ is a mobile application (Tablet PC only) that provides an exciting education experience about insects through moving images, stories, music, and games. More than 30 insects were categorized by orders and species and arranged with a flicking & tree index UI. Users of all ages are able to enjoy this interactive book application with its various interactions. The adorable illustrations and vivid imagery of ‘Meet the Insects: Forest Edition’ earned recognition as the ‘Best iPad App for 2012’ in the Apple App Store (Korea).
